Happy New Year!
2014 is here and as I look back on 2013 I see a lot of changes, a lot of opportunities and a some regrets.
I regret that I have let my blogging lapse in the last year. I started this blog as a way to share what I'm learning and I was very excited about it but then life got in the way. And my stamping blog has also suffered.
I have had new job opportunities which came from changes at work. These have been a blessing and a curse.
I think that I would call 2013 the year of disconnection. And 2014 is full of promise!
So, in the spirit of learning to enjoy the moments of my life and learning experiences I would like to share my experiences with a child going off to University.
It all started back in October with the graduation meeting at the school. The choosing of the venue and date for graduation. It surprised me that the graduation committee asked for the assembly of parents and students to vote on the date and venue for graduation. So we did, and we will be having our graduation on June 26 and the graduation banquet will be held on June 27 at the Telus Convention Center. So in January our daughter will have her graduation pictures done and in February we will buy tickets and submit the grad gown sizing form. We must start looking for a grad dress right away, and book a hair appointment. Who knew that there was so much to do and think about so far in advance! I feel like I'm planning my wedding all over again! LOL
So I am learning as I go, and I want to make sure that during 2014 I cherish these moments.
